Mechanism
HIFEM energy penetrates skin and fat to stimulate motor neurons, causing supramaximal muscle contractions. These extreme contractions force muscle tissue to adapt, resulting in hyperplasia (increased fiber number) and hypertrophy (increased fiber size). The intense metabolic demand also triggers lipolysis in overlying fat. Emsculpt NEO adds RF heating to simultaneously destroy fat cells.
