Overview
Excel V uses 532nm KTP and 1064nm Nd:YAG dual wavelengths as a vascular-specialized laser. It treats redness, telangiectasia, hemangioma, rosacea, and vascular dark circles. The Genesis mode (1064nm long-pulse, non-contact) provides skin rejuvenation and toning, making it a versatile platform for both vascular and general dermatological applications.
Mechanism
The 532nm KTP wavelength is highly absorbed by oxyhemoglobin, efficiently targeting superficial vascular lesions. The 1064nm Nd:YAG penetrates deeper for treating deeper or larger vessels. Both wavelengths cause selective photothermolysis of targeted blood vessels: the absorbed energy heats the vessel wall, causing coagulation and vessel closure. The cooled tip protects the epidermis. Genesis mode delivers sub-therapeutic pulses for gentle dermal heating and collagen stimulation.
