Exosome

Overview

Exosomes are nano-vesicles (30-150nm) secreted by cells, containing growth factors, cytokines, mRNA, and microRNA. When stem cell-derived exosomes are applied to the skin, they promote collagen synthesis, anti-inflammation, and cell regeneration through intercellular signaling. As a cell-free therapy, exosome treatment offers lower immunogenicity than stem cell treatments and is gaining attention as the next frontier in regenerative aesthetics.

Mechanism

Stem cell-derived exosomes are delivered into the skin via micro-needling, injection, or electroporation. The exosomes are taken up by target cells (fibroblasts, keratinocytes) and release their cargo of growth factors and genetic material, activating collagen synthesis pathways, suppressing inflammatory responses, and promoting tissue regeneration from within.
