Overview
Eye revision surgery corrects issues from previous operations including fold loosening, left-right asymmetry, scarring, over-correction, under-correction, lagophthalmos, and scleral show. It is more technically demanding than primary surgery due to tissue adhesions and scar tissue. Mechanism
Revision surgery corrects unsatisfactory results from prior eyelid procedures. Techniques include removing or repositioning excess scar tissue, adjusting fold height and symmetry, fat grafting for volume restoration, canthopexy for lid position, and addressing ptosis or lagophthalmos from previous surgery.
