Juvelook

JuvelookTreatment

A next-generation skin remodeling injection combining PDLLA (poly-D,L-lactic acid) and HA (hyaluronic acid) to simultaneously improve skin texture, elasticity, and collagen production.

Overview

Juvelook is a PDLLA+HA compound developed by Hugel (Korea). While Sculptra (PLLA) focuses on deep volume filling, Juvelook specializes in skin quality improvement. Fine PDLLA particles stimulate collagen production in the dermal layer while HA provides immediate hydration. Juvelook Volume, with larger particles, is also available for volume filling.

Mechanism

Fine PDLLA particles trigger a foreign body response in the dermal layer, stimulating the production of collagen (Types I, III) and elastin. The HA component provides immediate moisture and skin radiance. PDLLA is gradually hydrolyzed and absorbed by the body.

Effects

Skin texture improvement is noticeable from 1–2 weeks. Optimal results are achieved with 3–4 sessions at 3–4 week intervals. Effects last 12–24 months.

Duration

20–30 minutes per session.

Recovery

Normal activities can resume immediately. Tiny red spots at the injection site may appear for 1–2 days, with minimal swelling.

Side Effects

Redness, micro-bruising, and swelling at the injection site are common and typically resolve within 1–3 days. Nodule occurrence is less frequent than with Sculptra but possible if injected too superficially.

Price Range

150,000–300,000 KRW per vial; typically a 3–4 session program.

Target Audience

Those seeking improvement in skin texture, elasticity, fine wrinkles, pores, and skin radiance.
