Thigh Lift

Thigh LiftSurgery

A surgery that removes excess hanging skin and fat from the inner or outer thigh to improve the thigh contour.

Overview

Thigh lift is performed when thigh skin has become loose after massive weight loss or aging. Medial thigh lift incises along the groin crease, while lateral thigh lift extends the incision to the outer thigh. Scars are concealed within the groin crease when possible. It is commonly part of a comprehensive body contouring plan after significant weight loss.

Mechanism

Medial thigh lift incises along the groin crease to remove excess inner thigh skin. Lateral thigh lift extends the incision to the outer thigh for more extensive excision. Excess skin and fat are removed, and the remaining skin is lifted and sutured. Liposuction may be combined for additional contouring.

Effects

Removal of excess thigh skin, improved thigh contour, reduced inner thigh friction and chafing, smoother thigh appearance, and improved lower body proportionality.

Duration

Permanent, provided weight remains stable.

Recovery

Compression garment for 4-6 weeks. Limited walking for 1-2 weeks. Swelling and bruising for 2-4 weeks. Return to work at 2-3 weeks. Avoid strenuous activity for 6 weeks.

Side Effects

Scar in groin crease (medial) or extending to outer thigh (lateral), wound dehiscence (higher risk due to location), seroma, infection, asymmetry, lymphedema risk, and scar migration.

Price Range

5,000,000-10,000,000 KRW.
