Tuneface

Overview

Tuneface is a HIFU+RF hybrid lifting device developed in Korea. It applies high-intensity focused ultrasound and radiofrequency energy sequentially or simultaneously to stimulate both the SMAS layer and dermal layer. Known for relatively short treatment times and less pain compared to conventional HIFU devices, it has gained popularity for facial lifting and contouring treatments in Korean clinics.

Mechanism

The device combines HIFU energy targeting the SMAS layer (3.0-4.5mm depth) for deep tissue lifting with RF energy targeting the dermis (1.5-2.0mm) for surface tightening. HIFU creates thermal coagulation points for collagen denaturation and lifting, while RF generates volumetric heating for collagen contraction and neocollagenesis. The dual approach provides synergistic lifting effects.

Recovery

Minimal downtime. Mild redness and warmth for a few hours. Slight tenderness for 1-2 days. Makeup can be applied immediately. Normal activities can resume right away.

Side Effects

Temporary redness, swelling, and tenderness. Less pain during treatment compared to conventional HIFU. Rarely, bruising, tingling, or numbness. Not suitable for those with active skin conditions or metallic implants.
