Overview
GentleMax Pro uses 755nm alexandrite and 1064nm Nd:YAG wavelengths in a single platform. It is the most widely used hair removal device globally, featuring DCD (Dynamic Cooling Device) for epidermal protection. The 755nm wavelength is optimal for light to medium skin, while 1064nm safely treats darker skin tones. Also used for pigmentation and vascular treatments.
Mechanism
The 755nm alexandrite wavelength is highly absorbed by melanin, efficiently targeting hair follicles for permanent reduction in lighter skin types. The 1064nm Nd:YAG penetrates deeper and is less absorbed by epidermal melanin, making it safer for darker skin tones. DCD sprays cryogen onto the skin milliseconds before each pulse, protecting the epidermis while the laser energy selectively heats and destroys the hair follicle bulge and dermal papilla.
