Overview
Shrink Universe is a leading HIFU device with high market share in Korea. With interchangeable cartridges for depths of 1.5, 3.0, 4.5, 9.0, and 13.0mm, it can selectively target from the dermis to the SMAS layer and even body subcutaneous fat. Known for fast treatment speed and relatively comfortable sessions, it is widely used in Korean aesthetic clinics.
Mechanism
The device focuses high-intensity ultrasound energy at precise depths selected by the cartridge. At each focal point, tissue temperature rises to 60-70 degrees Celsius, creating thermal coagulation points (TCP). These TCPs trigger collagen denaturation and subsequent neocollagenesis. The deeper cartridges (9.0, 13.0mm) target subcutaneous fat for body contouring. The linear scanning method delivers multiple TCPs rapidly in each pass.

Facial lifting and tightening, wrinkle reduction, jawline definition, V-line contouring, skin elasticity improvement, and body skin tightening and fat reduction with deeper cartridges.
Duration
6-12 months (maintenance every 6-12 months recommended; results vary by individual)
Recovery
Minimal downtime. Mild redness and warmth for a few hours. Some tenderness and tingling for 1-2 weeks. Makeup can be applied immediately. Normal activities can resume right away.

Temporary redness, swelling, tenderness, and tingling. Pain during treatment varies by cartridge depth and individual sensitivity. Rarely, bruising, numbness, or burns if improperly administered.
