Overview
Sofwave uses SUPERB (Synchronous Ultrasound Parallel Beam Technology) to deliver 7MHz ultrasound energy uniformly at 1.5mm depth in the dermis. Unlike Ultherapy which targets the deep SMAS layer, Sofwave focuses on dermal collagen remodeling with less pain and faster treatment. The built-in Sofcool cooling system protects the epidermis during treatment.
Mechanism
The SUPERB technology generates parallel ultrasound beams that create a cylindrical thermal zone at 1.5mm depth, uniformly raising dermal temperature to 60-70 degrees Celsius. This causes existing collagen denaturation and stimulates fibroblasts to produce new collagen over the following months. The 7MHz frequency is optimized for dermal-depth targeting, and the integrated cooling system maintains epidermal safety throughout treatment.

Skin tightening and firming, fine wrinkle reduction, improved skin elasticity, jawline definition, eyebrow lifting, and progressive collagen remodeling over 3-6 months.

Recovery
Minimal downtime. Mild redness and warmth for a few hours. Slight swelling possible for 1-2 days. Makeup can be applied immediately. Normal activities can resume right away. Significantly less painful than conventional HIFU.
Side Effects
Mild redness, warmth, and temporary swelling. Lower pain level compared to HIFU devices targeting deeper layers. Rarely, mild bruising or tenderness. Not suitable for those with active skin infections or metallic implants in the treatment area.
