Overview

Enlarged pores result from various causes including excess sebum production, decreased skin elasticity (collagen loss), and pore deformation from acne scarring. While pores cannot be completely eliminated, combining multiple treatments tightens the skin around pores and reduces their visible appearance through collagen remodeling, sebum control, and surface refinement.

Mechanism

Multiple modalities work synergistically: fractional laser creates microthermal zones that stimulate collagen remodeling around pore openings; microneedle RF delivers thermal energy into the dermis to tighten perioral collagen; chemical peeling removes accumulated dead cells from pore openings; and sebum-controlling treatments reduce pore distension. The combined approach addresses structural, collagen, and sebum-related factors.
