Agnes Device

Agnes DeviceDevice

A device that selectively delivers RF energy to sebaceous glands through insulated microneedles to destroy them.

Overview

Agnes is an insulated microneedle RF device developed in Korea. The insulated coating ensures RF energy is emitted only from the needle tip, enabling selective energy delivery to micro-targets such as sebaceous glands, syringoma, and under-eye fat. It provides precise, targeted treatment with minimal collateral tissue damage.

Mechanism

Insulated microneedles penetrate the skin to the target depth, and RF energy is delivered only from the exposed needle tip. The insulation prevents thermal damage to the epidermis and surrounding tissue. Precise energy delivery at the needle tip selectively destroys sebaceous glands, syringoma tissue, or under-eye fat pads depending on the treatment target.

Effects

Permanent reduction of acne by destroying sebaceous glands, syringoma removal, under-eye fat pad reduction, and targeted treatment of small lesions with minimal collateral damage.

Duration

Permanent for sebaceous gland destruction (treated glands do not regenerate). Syringoma may require 2-3 sessions. Results develop over 2-4 weeks.

Recovery

Swelling, redness, and pinpoint crusting for 3-7 days. Mild tenderness. Pustule formation may occur as treated glands heal. Makeup possible after 2-3 days. Full healing in 1-2 weeks.

Side Effects

Temporary swelling, redness, crusting, and pustule formation (expected healing response). Rarely, scarring, hyperpigmentation, or incomplete gland destruction requiring retreatment.

Price Range

200,000-500,000 KRW per session depending on treatment area.

Target Audience

Those with recurrent acne resistant to conventional treatment, those with syringoma, and those seeking targeted under-eye fat reduction.
